Based on the success of the first edition, the second symposium of Chemical Research in Flanders - "CRF-2" will be held again in Blankenberge, Floreal club on October 14-16, 2019.  This is an initiative of the FWO Scientific Research Communities ”Sustainable Chemical Processes for Synthesis of Fine Chemicals” and “Catalysis Research: From Individual Active Sites to Reactors”.

The CRF-2 symposium aims at regathering the chemical research community based in Flanders and contributing through scientific presentations, dissemination of research results and panel discussion of hot topics.

The program of the Symposium will feature a number of international plenary and national invited lectures as well as oral and poster contributions by PhD students, postdocs, and researchers from industry covering state-of-the-art research in chemical science and technology in the Flemish region. While the scope of the symposium covers chemistry in the broadest sense, particular focus will be given to selected contemporary topics which are considered to play a key role to help solving the big societal and economic challenges:

  • Energy and environment
  • Chemical synthesis and methodologies
  • Functional materials
  • Chemical processes and reactor technologies

PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are invited to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation.

Register here to attend the symposium.
